Your Inspector

Mike Mullen is a full-time property inspector with vast home inspection experience.  After a rewarding 20-year career in the fire service where he retired as a senior officer, Mike began another important chapter of his life when he founded Dwellsure Home Inspections in 2005.   He has completed several thousand home inspections in addition to the many building safety inspections he performed while in the fire service.  This translates into deep experience that directly benefits every client.  Mike has also shared some of that knowledge as a guest speaker at many first-time homebuyer's classes throughout the region and has been a radio guest of WBEN in Buffalo on multiple occasions.

Mike is New York State licensed, being among the first group of inspectors in the State to attain the now-mandatory license.  He has successfully credentialed at the highest levels of standardized testing available for home inspectors and employs the industry's most advanced equipment during the course of his inspections.  As operator of one of the only New York State Health Department-certified ELAP radon test labs in our region, Mike is able to offer continuous radon monitor (CRM) testing with the fastest test result turnaround possible.  He is also a member of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors and the International Code Council.

As a Certified Inspector in the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI), Mike has the collective support and guidance of the oldest and largest home inspection organization in the world.  To attain this ASHI "Certified Inspector" status, an individual must meet rigorous requirements, including passing a comprehensive, written technical exam and performing a minimum of 250 audited fee-paid home inspections conducted in accordance with the ASHI Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics. Mandatory continuing education helps the membership stay current with the latest in technology, materials and professional skills.

Feel free to call anytime.  If you would like to schedule an inspection, have any questions, or would simply just like to talk "house",  Mike always appreciates and welcomes your phone calls.
