Home Inspections
We are committed to keeping the same competitive pricing in 2010 that our customers have always appreciated. Single family homes under 2,500 square feet are still priced below $300, with larger homes being slightly more. There are minor additional charges to inspect homes that require long travel distances (exceeding 40 miles from our office in Batavia), and for multiple-family dwellings due to their additional mechanical components and separate living areas. Radon Testing
The Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Surgeon General both strongly recommend that every home be tested for elevated radon levels. Radon testing is still $125, with a small additional charge for distances exceeding 40 miles from Batavia. Our testing follows all national and state EPA guidelines for real estate transactions, and we are certified NYS-ELAP lab #11924. Our radon testing includes placing the test devices, the additional trip to the property to collect the test equipment, laboratory processing fees, and a final written report that details the readings. All radon testing requires a minimum sampling period of 48 hours. Please factor this time into your real estate transaction, and we will do our very best to accomodate any pressing contingency periods.
